Due to new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Requirements, all off-road diesel fuel is now required to be low-sulfur fuel. For this reason, we are no longer able to deliver regular, high-sulfur heating oil to our off-road diesel customers.

On November 1, 2007, we will begin delivering on-road ultra-low-sulfur diesel to all of our off-road diesel customers. Unfortunately, this will require that you apply for a tax refund for those gallons used in off-road equipment; due to government regulations, we are unable to apply for this credit on your behalf. In an effort to find a better solution, we have been delivering on-road fuel at our own expense since October 1, 2007, when these new regulations took effect.

Rymes is proud to announce the arrival of our second Pink-Ribbon delivery truck! Like our original Pink-Ribbon propane truck, the new truck is designed to raise awareness of breast cancer and also to raise money to fund research and cancer screenings. The new Pink-Ribbon oil truck will be delivering to customers year-round, and will be traveling to local events such as parades, old home days, and the like. According to an article in The Concord Monitor and another article from The Associated Press, Rumford Energy ceased operations on Friday April 14, 2007. In the wake of this event, many former Rumford customers have been running out of fuel and having trouble finding alternate suppliers that can provide them with fuel in an emergency.

Rymes Propane & Oil has added staff to our customer service team and prepared our delivery fleet to do everything that we can to help former Rumford Energy customers get the fuel and service that they need. Rymes is pleased to announce that we have added a new and convenient way for you to pay for your fuel bill. We are now able to accept payments over the phone directly from your checking account. No credit card is needed. You are still able to mail your payment or drop it off at any of our eight local offices, but this new option should be more convenient for many of our customers, especially if you are worried that your check won't get to us in time.

How does it work? With your permission, we submit your payment directly to our bank as an electronic transaction. Once we receive confirmation of the payment, we then apply it to your account, and you will see the payment on your next bank statement. The Rymes family has joined forces with the American Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF) to help promote breast cancer awareness! Our newest propane delivery truck is the first-ever "Pink-Ribbon" truck and is painted in the trademark pink of breast cancer awareness campaigns. As part of our effort to be actively involved in our local communities, Rymes will be donating one-cent per gallon to the ABCF's New Hampshire Key To Life program, and we will be displaying the truck at local events throughout the state to help promote awareness and encourage women to get a breast cancer screening.
