Biodiesel
Biodiesel is a domestically produced, renewable fuel that can be manufactured from many organic sources, including vegetable oils. Biodiesel can be used in most applications where Diesel fuel or Heating Oil are normally used, including vehicles, home heating, and generators.

The Biodiesel that we sell has two primary advantages when compared to regular Diesel Fuel.
  • Domestically Produced - Because our Biodiesel is made in the United States, using it improves our nation's energy security, reduces our dependance on foreign oil, and boosts our economy.
  • Environmentally Friendly - BioDiesel is better for the environment when compared to regular Diesel fuel. Using a 20% blend of Biodiesel helps to reduce soot, particulates, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide by more than 10% each. Using 100% BioDiesel provides even more benefits to the environment.

In April, 2004, Rymes Propane and Oil, with the support of the NH Department of Environmental Services, opened five Biodiesel stations and became the first heating supplier in the state of New Hampshire to break into the market for alternative fuel. We currently offer Biodiesel for sale at our pumps in Antrim, Greenfield, Keene, Loudon, and Peterborough. Biodiesel is available wholesale in Antrim and at our North Stratford, NH bulk facility, and we also deliver Biodiesel throughout New England.
